What is MarketWyrm?
MarketWyrm is a free, fan-made trend-watching tool for the Grand Exchange in RuneScape 3 and Old School RuneScape. It tracks around 7,200 RS3 items and 4,650 OSRS items, draws the charts, marks support and resistance, and tells you plainly which way an item has been moving and for how long.
It is for players who want to see the trend before committing gold — long-term holders, skillers stocking up, anyone tired of guessing. Switch games in the header (sleek slate for RS3, classic stone for Old School) and start looking.
What the wyrm reads
Four tabs, one job: make the market readable.
- GE PricesOverview boards for the most traded, highest-priced and biggest 24h gainers and fallers, plus All Items and Categories — every board with 30-day sparklines.
- Item pagesEvery item has one: a price chart with timeframes (OSRS from frequently updated price snapshots, typically about every five minutes; RS3 from daily guide prices), support and resistance with touch counts — the wyrm's read — and a trend read: direction, slope per day, trend quality, 30d/90d change and position in the one-year range.
- Item ListsSeparate long-term Uptrends and Downtrends lists for each game, refreshed hourly, with price, 24h/30d/90d change, volume and the 30-day band.
- Free account extrasA watchlist with buy and sell targets that ping you by device push or email. The GE Screener and Paper Trading are visible as locked previews while they remain in private admin testing.
Two directions, never mixed
Old School and RS3 each have two dedicated site filters, so rising and falling long-term trends are never ranked together.
- Rising ↗Long-term UptrendsClean, confirmed positive trends with room left above in the yearly range — strongest rise first.
- Falling ↘Long-term DowntrendsClean, confirmed negative trends with room left below in the yearly range — steepest fall first.
Where the numbers come from
Two sources, both named, nothing hidden.
- Old SchoolThe community-run OSRS Wiki price feed, sampled on an approximately five-minute cadence.
- RuneScape 3Jagex's official daily guide prices and volumes.
- Same numbers for everyoneThe server scans on its own schedule — hourly metric scans and frequent OSRS price-feed updates — so what you see is what every other visitor sees. Nothing you click makes it work harder.
What it is not
Readers of GE tools have been burned before, so let us be clear.
